Cole

Yet another kick ass trio I have decided to post. Cole! Members include Mike Salmon, John Walker, and Steve Kuhn. If you are unfamiliar with this band but you like Rodan, June of 44, and Shipping News, then you will definitely be into Cole. I believe I am missing a 7" and their self-titled EP. But this band is to obscure to find details. Whatever, these two albums are baller and you should listen to them.

i downloaded the "idea of city" album (didn't do both cuz i need to listen to one album at a time) and there are parts that are super awesome, and some where i'm torn on whether i like it em or not. heh, interesting...

i wouldn't compare to June of 44, however... June of 44 was totally weird (in an awesome way).

some parts remind me of unwound, actually.

thanks a bunch.

Thought you were exaggerating when you said it was obscure. i couldn't find anything about them. Just downloaded The first album, and it's pretty awesome.

steve is an awesome guy...

he was in glendale in WVa (members were in Lincoln of Hoover/Lincoln fame).

he moved to Chapel Hill and worked at Schoolkids and he formed Cole there...i hung out with him alot and he is super nice...

band was pretty ok...but he occasionally played with us at the Mallett St. House (where Milemarker formed) and he was a great guy.

Thanks for these, I have been looking for a Cole album on and off since I first heard them on a Zum comp a good ten years ago.
