the goodboy suit - shared members of managra and murder in the red barn. short-lived under-rated band. one fucking awesome album. if i owned a label and didnt care about makin that much money, i would put out the vinyl version of this.

Holy shit. Thanks, played a show with this band and they rocked faces. Lost my CD and Coptercrash records died, had no clue where to get it. You fucking rock...
actually, murder in the red barn and the goodboy suit never shared members. they did have common members from the former band, managra. it is great to see this small and obscure yet honest appreciation for a band that didn't really get enough time to break through into their full potential. my band toured with this group briefly and their shows were powerful, every night.

i bow to you, my friend. i have the managra symbol tattooed on my stomach, first tattoo i ever got, 13 years ago.. when i lived in milwaukee, i played in a band with one of the guys (dave) from insidious, & he lived with eric from the goodboy suit.. also met some of the guys from murder (i think i even met tony, but just briefly); was supposed to see a show of theirs at a college but they apparently cancelled at the last minute. to my knowledge that would've been their last show, though it wasn't advertised as such, i just don't think they played anymore..
anyway, thank you so much for posting these!
The self titled EP and Goodboy Suit links are not working; I have been looking for murder in the red barn's "76" song since forever, so i would appreciate if you could get them back up again. I think Murder in the Red Barn is amazing!

This is a three year old thread, but it still makes me happy to see people talking about this band. I saw MITRB in 2001, and then we played with them in Providence again in 2003 or 04. So good. At any rate, I seem to have an unreleased MITRB album recording on my computer, which I think I got in the mail from on of the guys in the band at some point? I'm not entirely sure what it is, but it's definitely after the self-titled album. Any idea? I can post it or send it along if anyone is interested - thejamesriver@gmail.com
